Max Taylor comments on VodafoneThree progress so far

VodafoneThree is building the UK's best network, with customers already beginning to experience the benefits.

11 November 2025:

Max Taylor, CEO, VodafoneThree:

“As promised, we made a fast start to our integration while staying focused on our customers. Building the UK’s best network has begun delivering benefits to customers including the removal of 16,500km² of not-spots and access to roam across both networks, at no extra cost.

"Our market-leading customer experience improved further with the launch of Vodafone’s Just Ask Once and Fix & Go repair service, with Net Promoter Scores improving across both Vodafone and Three since the merger. Ofcom complaints and customer churn are also down year-on-year for both brands. We grew our base across mobile and fixed and are the UK’s largest full fibre provider — bringing gigabit speeds to 21.8 million homes and businesses.

"We are the only mobile network operator with an unprecedented £11billion investment to deliver an AI-ready, 5G Standalone network to all corners of the UK.”

Financial summary:

VodafoneThree’s financial results are reported as part of Vodafone Group – for more details please see Vodafone Group’s H1 2025 report.

Building the UK’s best network, with customers already beginning to experience the benefits:

  • VodafoneThree is building the UK’s Best Network, going further than any other UK mobile network operator by reaching 99% 5G Standalone population coverage by 2030 and 99.96% by 2034, with the additional 0.96% population coverage geographically equivalent to an area 2.5x the size of Wales.

  • 28.8 million Vodafone and Three customers starting to benefit from being able to use each other’s networks, at no extra cost. More than 5,000 sites already upgraded and on track to eradicate not-spots by the end of the year, covering some 16.5K km/sq where coverage was previously not available.

  • VodafoneThree has partnered with leading global communications technology companies, Ericsson and Nokia, to support delivery of one of Europe and the UK’s largest privately funded and regulated infrastructure builds, ensuring the UK will have access to world-leading technology deployed on the VodafoneThree network.

  • Investment in customer service continues, with the launch of market-leading propositions such as Vodafone’s Just Ask Once promise, and the new retail repair service ‘Fix & Go’, Vodafone’s mobile Net Promoter Score (NPS) has continued to improve. Contract churn also improved and Ofcom’s latest customer complaints numbers see Vodafone mobile remaining in joint 1st place, with 1 complaint per 100,000 customers. In addition, Three's consumer NPS improved and churn decreased since the merger, thanks to both network and customer process improvements.

  • VodafoneThree exclusive distribution partnership deals were secured rapidly during the period and include Currys and Fonehouse.

  • Business migration to a single brand, Vodafone Business, underway. Recent wins include the Data Communications Company (DCC) to enhance the nation’s energy infrastructure – the largest Internet of Things (IoT) deal in the country currently, adding 3,000 IoT connections to the network per day.

  • 72,000 H1 net new mobile customer additions across Vodafone and Three contract, SMARTY and VOXI.

  • VodafoneThree is the UK’s fastest growing broadband provider, with our brands adding a further 94,000 customers in H1. Cross-selling Fibre to Three customers has begun, while Three’s Fixed Wireless Access base continues to grow. New partnerships, such as Community Fibre in London, have helped increase the fibre footprint, which now covers more than 21.8m homes and businesses with gigabit speeds.

Transformation on Track:

  • Having appointed the first and second layers of management, the design of the new organisation continues to move at pace. The next phase of the integration journey focuses on assessing duplication and aligning office-based teams to support a simpler, more effective structure.

  • Large contract rationalisation already begun; Network RAN, Network Core, Small Works Contractors & Media buying partnerships agreed.

  • Property consolidation and consultation in progress.
