08 January 2025: VodafoneThree has signed a three-year extension to its partnership with mobile phone retailer, Get Connected, continuing to bring Vodafone and Three brands to stores across Wales.
The extension will now see VodafoneThree become the exclusive mobile network operator (MNO) in 46+ Get Connected stores across Wales, the Midlands and the South West. This will continue to provide people with access to handset and SIM Only contracts with Vodafone and Three brands, as well as continued in-store support for existing customers in Wales, the Midlands and the South West.1
In time, customers will benefit from VodafoneThree’s £11 billion investment to build the UK’s best network, with improved coverage, speed and reliability. The company will fill 16,500km of ‘not spots’ – an area nearly the size of Wales2 – and bring 5G Standalone to 99.96% of the population by 2034.
VodafoneThree’s retail presence with Get Connected in Wales will also continue to support approximately 100 jobs in Get Connected stores.
Jon Shaw, Consumer Operations Director, VodafoneThree, said: “Our partnership with Get Connected has gone from strength-to-strength, and the new exclusivity agreement is key to our retail presence in Wales. Working with trusted retail partners will help bring both Vodafone and Three brands to more people, offering customers more choice, greater value and access to the UK’s best network.”
Damian Cole, CEO, Get Connected, said: “I am pleased to announce that I have just signed the agreement for three years. This partnership will give us access to more products and means that the business is now secure for at least the next three years.”
