The report sets out the three areas that VodafoneThree is set to prioritise in this space: access to connectivity, safety and security, and environmental impact.
In doing so, the company has introduced its new ‘everyone connected’ sustainability and social impact strategy for the first time.
Having committed to an £11 billion investment to build the UK’s best network, this strategy will help ensure VodafoneThree rolls out its network in a sustainable, safe and secure manner.
“While our mission as a company is to build the UK’s best network, our purpose – to connect every community – is the human part of what we do: the connective tissue that holds our organisation together. Building the UK’s best network will not be delivered by infrastructure alone, but by the brilliance, dedication and diversity of our people.”
Nicki Lyons, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer, VodafoneThree
Given Three and Vodafone’s longstanding legacies across sustainability and social impact areas, the report references some of the key achievements made by both brands over the years.
This includes: Vodafone helping 4 million individuals and businesses cross the digital divide since 2021; Three raising £1 million for charity partner Samaritans; and Discovery – Three’s expert team of digital skills trainers – supporting more than 1.3 million people through technology workshops.
In line with the new everyone connected strategy, the report sets out the actions VodafoneThree will take to build on this work – all of which will fall under three distinct pillars
Made for everyone

With almost two third (61%) of Brits now saying being online is a fundamental right, rather than a luxury, VodafoneThree’s role is to help turn digital access into digital agency.
With this in mind, the ‘Made for everyone’ pillar is all about providing the reliable connectivity people need to get online, as well as the skills that communities need to take advantage of today’s digital world.
Made to be safe

The benefits of being online may be broad – from young individuals exploring the internet for the first time to older generations developing new skills. But being connected should never leave people unprotected.
The ‘Made to be safe’ pillar will see VodafoneThree contribute to an online system that prioritise secure digital experiences, without limiting opportunity.
Made to last

It’s no longer enough for companies to simply reduce their environmental impact. Today, they must make active choices to help strengthen nature’s nervous system.
That’s the thinking behind the ‘Made to last’ pillar which, for VodafoneThree, means providing customers with more sustainable solutions, such as the ability to extend their device’s lifecycle.
